When participants complete the 35-hour WINGS course they can continue their transformation by joining a Friendship Circle. This is a transitional program where two volunteer mentors support each participant as he/she progresses into the work force.
The purpose of each Friendship Circle is to provide the WINGS graduate the encouragement and accountability needed to succeed – even when years of “failure” have occurred.

Celebrate Recovery
The Forge’s Celebrate Recovery program is modeled after the acclaimed recovery ministry established at Saddleback Church, pastored by Rick Warren (author of The Purpose-Driven Life) in Lake Forest, California.
The program’s method combines fellowship and celebration of God’s healing power through the Eight Recovery Principles. By working and applying these biblical principles, based on the Beatitudes (Matthew 5: 1-12), participants grow spiritually and strengthen themselves for the lifelong battle against addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. Their newfound freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and, most important, a stronger personal relationship with God and with others. As participants progress through the program, they discover and forge a relationship with a personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.
The Program’s Eight Principles
-
Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor. Realize that I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable.
-
Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
-
Happy are the meek. Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
-
Happy are the pure in heart. Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust.
-
Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires. Voluntarily submit to every change Gods want to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
-
Happy are the merciful. Happy are the peacemakers. Evaluate all of my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.
-
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible readings and prayer, in order to know god and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
-
Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires.
Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
